YEAR 1

Six weeks down and there’s only three to go! Oh boy! We have been busy!

This term has gone off with a BANG!! Science has been our focus and in the first five weeks we learnt about Light and Sound.

In the above photos, students were experimenting with light and water where they created a rainbow.

We have also learnt about sound waves and we discussed and experimented with high/low and loud/soft sounds. In this discussion, we looked at what the sound waves looked like for each of the pitches.

On the 2nd November, we attended an incursion where we learnt about pressurised forces.

We all had a lot of fun and learnt many things.

Last Wednesday 7th November, Grade 1’s visited Twisted Science in Echuca. Students explored a variety of science concepts whilst there and attended a workshop on light.
